Sustainability: The environment is important to us. Lierreworks strives to use ethically sourced materials and stones as much as possible, and that includes recycling our own scrap silver and gold into new and beautiful designs and sourcing our metal from a refiner located in the USA.
Stones are purchased as local as possible from rockhunters, community gem shows, and sometimes estates. Higher priced, faceted stones are generally purchased through reputable, fair-trade sources like Columbia Gem House and Haus of Stones. Nearly all the padding like bubble wrap from incoming supply orders are saved and re-used in our own packages.
Supporting Small & Local Businesses: Lierreworks supports many other small businesses through supply orders, tool purchases, patronage and online tutorials. Some of them include Pepe Tools USA, Oregon Trail Silver, Stamp Yours, Metalsmith Society, Marquis Jewelry Academy, London Jewellery School, Melted Metal Co, NC Black Tools, Flow Studio Supply, Rosy Revolver, Columbia Gem House, Lemon & Birch Creative Design.
